The convenience of shopping at hhgregg.com has many benefits. Customers can shop outside of normal store hours and do their research even before visiting one of our retail locations. Some of our customers will print the features of the item that interests them which can help immensely when narrowing down your needs and wants even before talking it over with a sales associate.
The first thing to understand when shopping at hhgregg.com is that not everything you see online can be shipping to your home. For example, some items require delivery or in-store pickup. There are four methods available for making your purchases at hhgregg.com:
In-Store Purchase Only: For this type of purchase, the item displayed on hhgregg.com is for informational purposes only (meaning the entire transaction must be completed inside an hhgregg store). For example, if you click See Details located in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen, you will see a message on the details screen informing you that the purchase must be made inside an hhgregg retail store.
In-Store Pickup: For this type of purchase, the payment process will be completed online but you must pick up your item(s) at the store. Look for the green circle and the word Pickup (see photo) if you’re interested in picking up your item(s) at the retail store nearest to you.
One advantage of picking up your purchase from one of our retail locations is that you avoid paying delivery or shipping charges. During the online order process, you’ll be given the option to pick up your purchase from one of our retail store locations. All online purchases will be made available for pickup within 72 hours of your online purchase.
When placing an online order that required you to pick the item up at one of our retail locations, make sure you bring the following items with you:
- Online sales receipt
- Photo ID
- Credit Card (the one used to make your online purchase)
The name on the photo ID must match the name on the purchasing credit card. To ensure the security of your online purchases, only the person who made the purchase may pick up the merchandise. At the time of pickup, if the item(s) are offered at a lower price in the store, we will automatically credit the difference to your credit card.
Delivery: Some of the items in our inventory are eligible for delivery: refrigerators, washers & dryers, HDTVs, etc. Look for the green circle and the word Delivery (see photo) if you’re interested in having your item(s) delivered. hhgregg’s home delivery is limited to ZIP codes located around our retail locations or distribution centers. If you purchase a deliverable item online, a customer service professional will contact you within 24 hours to arrange delivery.
Online Purchase: This method if for your item(s) being shipped via UPS to an address (no P.O. boxes). Look for the green circle and the word Shipping (see photo) if you’re interested in having your item(s) delivered to a private or business address. Some items are eligible for reduced or free shipping. Look for the words “Free Shipping” located near the price of the item.
