Mitsubishi’s 82-inch DLP: Large Screen Entertainment at its Largest
Introduced in 2009, Mitsubishi redefined the meaning of “large screen entertainment” with the debut of the world’s largest home theater television — the 82-inch WD82737. In case you’re not sure just how large that is, let’s look at it a different way: 82 inches is equal to 6-feet, 10-inches. At that size, you’ll virtually have a billboard-sized TV in your living room!

Mitsubishi Rear Projection DLP Television (Model No: WD82737)
The WD82737 is a truly larger than life, intensively vivid viewing experience with picture performance that outpaces today’s smaller flat panels. Although large in size, the WD82737 is highly energy efficient and is an ENERGY STAR 3.0 qualified model. One of the coolest features for any HDTV is 3D viewing technology, which provides the best option for enjoying 3D content in the home, and the WD82737 comes right out of the box “3D-ready.”
As if an 82-inch screen doesn’t look large enough, Mitsubishi has managed to make it appear even larger — using a half-inch wide bezel along both sides and the top. Somehow the screen stays in place, giving the WD82737 a nothing-but-screen look. The front cabinet measures seven inches tall and has a flip-down door which conceals a few controls, but no memory cards slots or inputs (they are located on the back and the right side of the TV).

1080p High-Definition DLP Display System
All images displayed on the WD82737 are displayed at 1080p. The TV uses Plush 1080p 5G to convert lower-resolution signals to 1080p for display. The TV can also accept original 1080p signals and maintain them at 1080p through all processing.
Smooth 120Hz
All light hold devices have some degree of motion blurring in fast-moving images or videos. Light hold devices include DLP, LCD, and plasma. Smooth 120Hz displays more fluid, natural, and smoother, fast-moving images that are free from motion blur. By using a new level of motion reproduction, fast-motion scenes are much smoother and natural.
3D Ready
All Mitsubishi 1080p DLP HDTV’s are 3D Ready. This feature lets you experience the new 3D technolo-gies applied to many recent movies, video games, and sporting events. Located on the main connection panel (located on the back of the TV) is a 3D Glasses Emitter port. Use this jack for the special IR emitter supplied with 3D glasses. The emitter will send a signal that synchronizes your 3D glasses with the screen display.
Integrated HDTV Tuner
The WD82737 has an internal HDTV tuner able to receive both over-the-air HDTV broad¬casts (received via an antenna) and non-scrambled digital cable broadcasts, including non-scrambled HDTV cable programming.
Easy Connect Auto Input Sensing
Easy Connect™ Auto Input Sensing automatically recognizes when external devices are plugged into the TV and will immediately prompt the user to assign a name to it. The TV ignores any unused inputs, so the result is an uncluttered menu where you can easily find and select connected devices by name.
Internal Fans
Internal cooling fans maintain proper operating temperatures inside the TV. It is normal to hear the fans when you first turn on the TV, during quiet on-screen scenes, and for a short time after shutting off the TV. You may notice louder fan noise about 30 seconds after shutting off the TV and while using the Bright Lamp Mode.
