Diamond Drum™
With inside holes 36 percent smaller than those of conventional drums, the diamond drum prevents fabrics from sticking out and consequently being damaged.
Water Pressure
To correctly fill your washer in the proper amount of time, water pressure of 20–116 psi (137–800 kPa) is required. Water pressure less than 20 psi (137 kPa) may cause water valve failure, or may not allow the water valve to shut off completely. Low water pressure may also extend the fill time beyond what your washer controls allow, resulting in your washer turning off.
A time limit is built into the controls in the event of an internal hose becoming loose and flooding your home. The water faucets must be within four feet (122 cm) of the back of the washer using the inlet hoses provided with your washer.
Child Lock
Once the Child Lock function is activated, the entire control panel can no longer be operated — preventing children from playing with the washer. If you want to activate/deactivate the Child Lock function, press and hold the Soil Level and Signal buttons at the same time for three seconds.
DD (Direct-Drive) Motor
The direct-drive inverter motor delivers power right to the washer drum from a variable speed, reversible motor. A beltless direct-drive motor generates a higher spin speed of 1,300 rpm for more effective, quiet operation. The washer also has fewer moving parts, meaning fewer repairs.

When selecting this cycle, the water heats to an extra high temperature to remove 99.9 percent of certain bacteria typically found on clothing, bedding, or towels.
